Orangeville Public Library Board

That the April 22, 2026 Library Board meeting minutes be approved.

That the Library Board approve the 2025 Audited Financial Statements of The Corporation of the Town of Orangeville, Public Library, as presented.

That the following information items be received:

That report 26-13, Reaffirmation of Intellectual Freedom and Support for Local Library Governance be received;

THAT the Orangeville Public Library Board reaffirms its commitment to intellectual freedom, equitable access to information, patron privacy, and the principle of locally governed public libraries;

THAT the Board endorse the statements issued by the Canadian Federation of Library Associations (CFLA-FCAB) and the Federation of Ontario Public Libraries (FOPL) regarding Alberta Bill 28 and its implications for public library governance and intellectual freedom;

THAT the Board requests the CEO to communicate this resolution on the Orangeville Public Library website.

That report 26-14, CEO Observations and Future Visioning be received for information.

That report 26-15, Board Succession Planning and Review be received for discussion.
